Roka quits Morcha

DARJEELING,: GJM (Bimal camp) central committee leader Tilak Chand Roka on Monday announced his resignation from the political outfit citing differences in political ideology.
Roka is also the Morcha (Bimal camp) Darjeeling subdivision coordinator and in the past, held different major posts in the party. He is also an ex-GTA Sabashad from Chungthung-Maribung constituency.
Roka maintained that he could not be with a party which supports TMC.
“Our political ideology does not match which I have verbally informed to the party president Bimal Gurung. I have been on the street during the agitation in 2017 and have seen atrocities of the Bengal government and a person became a saheed in front of me. My heart hurts thinking of them and my mind does not agree in making such a government victorious,” said Roka.
Roka was in jail for about nine months in 2017 following cases registered against him during the Gorkhaland agitation.
Roka added that he was also against the Binay faction of the Morcha and would remain to do so.
