Siliguri photojournalist dies after being hit by train

SILIGURI,: Siliguri photojournalist Biswaroop Basak, who worked for a Bengal daily died today after being hit by a running train hit at Ambari railway crossing.
Basak was also the member of Siliguri Journalists Club. The club members have expressed shocked after hearing the news of the death of their colleague.
Siliguri Journalists Club general secretary Angshuman Chakraborty said, "The news has shocked everyone. It’s really unbelievable that Biswaroop has left all of us so early."
Biswaroop was a polite, soft spoken and a very dedicated photographer, the club said.
