South district administration initiative for JEE/NEET aspirants

GANGTOK,: Chief Minister P.S. Golay launched JEE/NEET preparation classes by Allen Career Institute, an initiative of south district administration, today during Shikshak Shikshika Sammelan 2021, at Jorethang.
Under this initiative, Allen Career Institute shall open its centre in South Sikkim and the faculties from Kota will be teaching as per JEE and NEET syllabus, informs a press release.  The government will provide scholarship to meritorious students and Allen Institute will add equal amount under its CSR initiative.
Classes are likely to start from next academic session.
The project will develop economic activities in and around the town, like starting of paying guest system, mess and fooding facilities, stationary and general items for shopkeepers along with income of taxi drivers.
Currently, approximately 500 students from Sikkim are studying in Kota for medical and engineering classes. The project will immensely help students of Sikkim get admission into top colleges, the release adds.
