State tribute paid to late Sanchaman Limboo, body taken to native village

GANGTOK (IPR): Chief secretary S.C. Gupta and DGP A. Shankar Rao paid tribute to the former Chief Minister of Sikkim late Sanchaman Limboo by laying wreath and offering prayers at Development Area, Gangtok today. The senior officials of the State government also paid tribute and offered prayers.
Late Sanchaman Limboo passed away after a prolonged illness at the age of 73 at Gangtok on November 8. His body has been taken to his native village in HeeGaon, West Sikkim, today and the funeral would take place on November 10.
Late Limboo was a respected leader of the Sikkimese people who served the State on various capacities.
As a mark of respect to late Sanchaman Limboo, seven days State mourning shall be observed from November 9 to 15. The National Flag shall be flown at half-mast on all buildings where it is flown regularly. Further, the State government offices, educational institutions and public undertakings shall remain closed throughout the State of Sikkim on the day of funeral i.e. on November 10.
The last rites of late Sanchaman Limboo will be observed with full State honours.
