Sikkim secures 4th place in national sub-junior
taekwondo championships |

GANGTOK, September 1: The Sikkim team has
secured fourth place in the 28th national
sub-junior taekwondo championships held at
Guwahati, Assam from August 28 to 30.
Saroj Gurung and Pema Gyasto Sherpa won the gold
medals while Saurav Sunar won the silver medal
in the tournament, informs Sikkim Amateur
Taekwondo Association chief coach Trilok Subba.
Subba had led the Sikkim contingent for the
Guwahati tournament. He said that Sikkim won the
best fighting team award and secured the fourth
place in the tournament.
The Sikkim team officials were Pradeep Mukhia,
Rajesh Thapa, Shyam Subba, Trilok Subba besides
Dawa Tamang and Savitri Pradhan as referees for
the tournament. |
