MANGAN, September 1: Torrential rains of August
30 have badly damaged the PMGSY road at
Pathuk-Lingzey, posing threat to houses built
along the damaged stretch.
With no signs of repair works, villagers from
Pathuk, Chandey, Lingzey etc are forced to lug
rations and walk about 6 kilometres from Makha
10th Mile to reach their destinations.
To add to this, the land and nursery belonging
to one Shyam Lall Koirala of Pathuk
has also been badly damaged. About 10,000
cardamom saplings were washed away along with
one acre of agricultural land.
The road works falls under State Public Works
Department. |
