Veticare Paksam branch inaugurated at Jorethang

NAMCHI, September 1: With the distribution of free medicines to more than 35 selected farmers of south and west Sikkim, Veticare Paksam branch was inaugurated today at Jorethang.
Area MLA Madan Cintury inaugurated the centre in the presence of Joint Directors and Deputy Directors of State Animal Husbandry and veterinary Services Department and Veterinary Officers from all over the State.
Veticare Paksam is the branch of Paksam Group of Enterprises having its main office in Gangtok and Dr. Arjun K Adhikari is its proprietor.
This Centre at Jorethang is not only a house of veterinary medicines, vaccines, feeds and consultancy, but also a clinic and pet parlour.
During the inaugural function, the farmers were informed about various ailments and the types of medicines to keep their animals and pets healthy. In the interactive session, Dr. Adhikari educated the farmers on various topics and also educated them to use the medicines accordingly.
Dr. Adhikari along with representatives from various companies like Pfizer, Intas, Dabar Ayurvedh, Pedigree and Alembic also held an interactive technical session with the officers and doctors of the concerned department.
Later the farmers were provided with free medicines and feed for dairy, poultry and piggery farming while the pet lovers of south and west Sikkim were given dog foods.
Talking to media persons, Dr. Adhikari told the reporters that his centre will emphasize on category wise feeds and medicines and that he would be available at the Centre on Sundays and Wednesday. “Farmers can come and meet me with their queries,” he added.
