GANGTOK,: Sikkim Brotherhood FC and Sikkim Aakraman FC registered comfortable
victories in their matches of SFA-organised A Division S-League here at Paljor
Stadium on Saturday.
In
the first match, Sikkim Brotherhood FC swept aside Dzongri FC 6-1 with a brace
from Narendra Chettri in the opening 11 minutes of the match. Diwash Chettri
made it 3-0 before half time.
Though
Rupsang Tamang pulled one goal back for Dzongri FC immediately after the lemon
break, Sikkim Brotherhood went on to add three more goals. The goal scorers
were Sonam Roshan Singh, Sumit Sapkota and Ongda Lepcha.
The
second match saw Sikkim Aakraman FC registering a convincing 3-1 victory over
Northerners Football Club with a disciplined and attacking performance. Aman
Rasaily and Sagar Gurung gave a 2-0 lead but Pranay Rai reduced the deficit
with a goal for Northerners FC. The half-time score was 2-1 in favour of Sikkim
Aakraman.
Sameer
Pradhan sealed the victory for Sikkim Aakraman with a fine strike in the 86th
minute, securing all three points for his team.
