GANGTOK,: The organising team of the 1st Sikkim Riders’ Meet 2026, led by the
Dirty Angels Motorcycle Club, called on Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang
(Golay) at his official residence on Sunday.
During
the meeting, the team briefed the Chief Minister on the upcoming Sikkim Riders’
Meet 2026, scheduled to be held at Namprikdang, Dzongu, from November 16 to 18.
The
Chief Minister graciously accepted the role of Chief Patron of the event and expressed
his support for the initiative, a press release informs.
He
emphasised the importance of developing the Riders’ Meet into a regular
calendar event, rotating across different districts of Sikkim, with a
particular focus on rural areas.Such an initiative, he noted, can contribute
significantly to promoting local tourism, creating economic opportunities for
local communities and strengthening the rural economy.
The
organising team expressed its gratitude to the Chief Minister for his
encouragement and support towards the initiative.

The
1st Sikkim Riders’ Meet aims to bring together motorcycle enthusiasts from
across the country while showcasing Sikkim’s diverse landscapes, communities
and rural destinations through motorcycle tourism, said the organisers.
The
Sikkim Riders’ Meet 2026 is a motorcycle tourism initiative organised by the
Dirty Angels Motorcycle Club, bringing riders together for an experience
centred on riding, exploration, tourism and camaraderie in Sikkim.
