Speaking to the media, IPR secretary Annapurna Alley said that Creative Hub 2025 was nominated for the SKOCH Silver Award for E-Governance and received the award at the 105th SKOCH Summit in New Delhi. She said Creative Hub was first introduced in 2025 as a new and creative addition to the traditional JorethangMagheyMela.

She added that the idea was to make the Mela a space for everyone—where creativity, imagination, and learning could come together and inspire people of all ages.

This year, Creative Hub 2.0 has added new attractions such as mentorship programmes and the “Connect to Earth – Kids Zone”, where children can take part in fun, hands-on activities linked to culture and nature. Traditional games like pittu, chungi, hopscotch, marbles, clay play, along with storytelling and quiz sessions, are also being enjoyed by visitors.

The Creative Hub also includes a Gaming Village, offering safe and organised gaming on mobile, PC, and consoles. Popular games such as BGMI, FIFA, Tekken, Rocket League, chess, racing simulators, and a VR zone showing Sikkim’s tourist places have drawn large crowds. An Immersive Hanuman Chalisa Zone has also been set up to give visitors a peaceful and spiritual experience.

The IPR secretary said that Creative Hub has also become a good platform for local entrepreneurs to display and promote their products. She thanked the Chief Minister for his guidance and support, saying it played a key role in making the initiative successful.
