Indra Hang joins Parliamentary estimates committee, attends first meeting

GANGTOK,: Indra Hang Subba, representing Sikkim in the Lok Sabha, attended the first meeting of the Estimates Committee on Friday at the Parliament House Annexe Building in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, the chairperson of the committee, a press release informs.

Indra Hang was elected to this important committee after the end of the 2024 Budget Session of Parliament.

The Estimates Committee is one of the most important parliamentary committees, with the responsibility of examining the estimates related to various Ministries of Government of India. The work of this committee is crucial as it helps in understanding and managing the economy, which is the foundation of any society's social structure.

In his previous term as the MP from Sikkim, Indra Hang was a member of several other significant committees, including the Standing Committees on the Ministry of Rural Development, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Government Assurances.
