GANGTOK, : SGC Burtuk and SMLGC Gyalshing have set up the title clash for
the 1st Sikkim Government Inter-College Futsal Tournament to be
played on Tuesday afternoon at GMC Futsal Arena, Deorali here.
In
first semi-final played on Monday, SGC Burtuk overcame ShedaPangthang 6-4 in a
tightly contested game.
PemaTshering
scored a hattrick while Kumar Mangar netted a brace and PemDorjee scored one
goal for the SGC Burtuk team.
Pempa
Lepcha hit a hattrick and PhurbaDorjee Sherpa scored one goal for the
SheadPanthang team.
Kumar
Mangar was named as the man of the match.
The
second semi-final of the day saw SMLGC Gyalshing registering a comfortable 6-1
victory over their opponents. AmitGurung scored a hattrick while
AbhishekTamang, Sunil Manger and Sancha Raj Limboo scored one goal each.
The
semifinals witnessed the presence of Arun Kumar Upreti, Minister of Rural
Development Department (RDD), who graced the occasion as the chief guest and
encouraged the young athletes.
