Joint inspection reviews arrangements ahead of Sikkim visit of PM

GANGTOK,  (IPR): A joint inspection was conducted in and around Gangtok in preparation for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The inspection aimed to assess and coordinate logistical arrangements for the visit and to ensure that all administrative measures are in place for the scheduled programme in Gangtok.

The team reviewed the readiness of venues, accommodation facilities and transportation routes. It examined road conditions and traffic management plans and assessed helipad and airport connectivity along with emergency response arrangements.

The inspection also focused on coordination among departments including police, health services, public works and the district administration to ensure smooth inter agency functioning.

Special attention was given to crowd management measures and communication systems to support effective execution of the programme.

The inspection was carried out by SDM, Gangtok, MahendraChettri, Joint Chief Architect, GMC, DorjeeNamgyal, JCTP, GMC, NareshPradhan, DE, GMC, Gayden Lepcha, and Sr BO, GMC, BishnuThapa, along with AMC, AE, JE and Inspectors of GMC and Range Officer, Territorial, Gangtok, BinodChettri.
