GANGTOK,: The finals of the inaugural Sikkim State Open Basketball Tournament, organised by Basketball Association of Sikkim, took place today at the indoor basketball court of Paljor Stadium.
Mavericks won the women’s category after defeating Ravens 56-52 in the final.
In the men's final, Times Club (Nepal) defeated Dipu Nihang (Assam) 75-71.
EMRS Gangyap won the inter-school girls’ title after beating ISA Nepal in the final, while Tashi Namgyal Academy defeated Namchi Public School in the boys’ final.
The finals had Sports and Youth Affairs minister Raju Basnet as the chief guest.
