Kyabje Soktse Rinpoche’s mortal remains received with reverence in Geyzing

GEYZING, : In a solemn procession today, the mortal remains of Kyabje Soktse Rinpoche, who recently passed away in Delhi, were brought from Namchi’s Aaley Monastery to Pemayangtse Monastery in Gyalshing district. Devotees and monks from various West Sikkim monasteries converged at Zoomsa Junction below Geyzing Bazaar to receive and pay respects to the Rinpoche.

The procession made a half-hour stop at Geyzing Bazaar, allowing devotees to offer their final homage to the revered Rinpoche. It has been announced that on Saturday, the mortal remains will be transported to Rinpoche;s parent monastery in Khecheoperi, where the spiritual leader will be laid to rest.

Minister and Sangha MLA Sonam Lama, alongside monks from different West Sikkim monasteries, joined the gathering to honour Kyabje Soktse Rinpoche.
