GANGTOK, : Five girls from Sikkim will participate in the 55th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship in Kathmandu starting on September 1. These girls are part of the Indian contingent representing the Indian Body Builders Federation (IBBF).
Nima Doma Tamang from Gangtok will compete in model physique and swimsuit model category, Chandra Rai from Namchi in fitness physique category, Ozzeyswari Rai from Singtam in model physique category, Anita Chettri from Dentam in athletic physique category and Sabina Rai from Rorathang in swimsuit model category.
In addition to the participants, Tashi Ongmu, an international judge from Sikkim, will serve as the team manager for the Indian contingent.
The girls are confident and optimistic about their performance. They expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for providing financial assistance for their participation in the tournament.
The Sikkimese participants will depart for Kathmandu on Wednesday morning and join the rest of the Indian contingent for the championship.
