Mangan-Chungthang road temporarily cut off at Meyong Khola due to rise in water level

Mangan, (IPR): Due to increase in the water level at MeyongKhola, along Mangan-Chungthang route, the road is temporary cut off, and all the vehicles on both sides have been diverted back to their respective places and advised to stay in safe places till the situation comes to a normal.

District Collector ManganAnant Jain and SP Mangan LB Chettri visited the spot to assess the situation.

It was decided that the route would be unsafe for travel. Therefore, direction was issued to the concerned check posts to stop movement of vehicles from both Chungthang side as well as Mangan side.

Further decision would be taken once the water level recedes. The district administration is closely monitoring the situation.
