Lightweight, water-based, or gel-based face creams are ideal
for hot and humid weather as they hydrate without clogging pores, offer a
non-greasy feel, and manage excessive sebum in high heat. Lightweight face
cream has become a staple for those who want hydrated, comfortable skin, especially for oily or combination skin.
These weightless creams are designed to sink into your skin quickly while
providing substantial nourishment.
Besides nourishment, these also work well with make-up to prevent
pilling and caking. These formulations contain Hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and
plant extracts that absorb quickly without leaving you greasy and work well
under makeup.
While choosing a lightweight face cream, opt for
fast-absorbing, non-comedogenic formulas that suit your skin type, such as
gel-based for oily skin or light lotions for dry skin. Look for ingredients
like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides. Opt for oil-free, alcohol-free
options, especially for sensitive skin.
Most moisturisers consist of an emollient, a humectant, and
an occlusive. Emollients help repair the skin’s natural barrier, humectants
absorb water into the skin, and occlusive agents help form a layer on the
surface of our skin.
Since lightweight moisturisers are quick-absorbing, they can
be easily layered with other skincare products/ makeup without interfering with
their performance.
Homemade skincare creams always work because they don't
contain any chemicals or harsh additives.
It will be far better than a store-bought face cream, and you shall not
have to struggle with any side effects. Here are a few tips to make Homemade
