7th batch completes Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Nathu La

GANGTOK,: The 7th batch of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra (KMY) 2026 via the Nathu La route returned safely to Gangtok today after successfully completing the sacred pilgrimage. To commemorate the successful completion of the Yatra, Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) organised a felicitation programme for the returning pilgrims.

At the event, pilgrims, one male and one female, shared their experiences of the Yatra. They expressed appreciation for the services rendered by STDC throughout the pilgrimage, informs a press release. “Describing the journey as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, they said they felt spiritually fulfilled and experienced a warm, homely environment from the very beginning of the Yatra. The pilgrims highly appreciated the quality of the food, transportation arrangements, the prompt response to every requirement, and the sincere dedication of the support staff. They remarked that the entire team worked with professionalism, care, and commitment, making the pilgrimage comfortable, safe, and memorable.”

Addressing the gathering, STDC chairman and chief guest for the event, Lukendra Rasaily, congratulated all the pilgrims on the successful completion of the sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. He stated that the felicitation programme was organised to honour the devotion, determination, and achievement of every pilgrim who successfully completed one of the most revered and challenging spiritual journeys.

The chairman presented Yatra completion certificates and traditional Khadas to all the pilgrims. 

He further requested the pilgrims to share their positive experiences with their friends, relatives, and colleagues, and to promote the services and hospitality of STDC. He expressed hope that they would also encourage more people to visit Sikkim and experience its rich natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.
