GANGTOK, : The Talent Round of Miss Universe Sikkim 2025 was held on Tuesday at
the Lemon Tree Hotel here, celebrating creativity, culture, and personal
expression. The event was attended by an esteemed panel of judges, including
Rewaj Chettri, Officer on Special Duty (Skill Development and Entrepreneurship)
to the Chief Minister; Peden Ongmu Namgyal, Miss Sikkim 2017, Miss Northeast
Diva 2017, and Miss Supranational India 2017; and Sanjay Dilipali Rai, spokesperson
for the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM).
Also
present were Bijay Subba, proprietor of The Postitude, and Sonia Pradhan, the
reigning Miss Sikkim from the previous season, who lent her support and
encouragement to the contestants.
Established
in 2013, Miss Universe Sikkim has grown into one of the region’s most prominent
platforms for aspiring young women. The 2025 edition began in March, drawing 40
participants from across the State. Of these, 15
finalists have been selected to compete in the grand finale.
The
talent round featured a captivating mix of performances, including singing,
contemporary and ballet dance, as well as traditional cultural dances such as
Tamang Selo and Kaura. Other unique acts included tarot card reading, poetry
recitation, and a karate demonstration, showcasing the rich diversity of talent
among the finalists.
The
event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing
contestants to articulate their thoughts and perspectives directly to the
panel.
The
finale of Miss Universe Sikkim 2025 is scheduled to take place on May 18
evening at Mayfair Hotel, where the next titleholder will be crowned.
