GANGTOK,: Chief Minister’s Additional Political Secretary (Gangtok) Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha, on International Labour Day, conferred the ‘Shram Seva Samman’ to Dil Kumar Dahal, a Group D employee under Rakdong BAC in recognition of his exemplary dedication, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty.
The ‘Shram Seva Samman’ is an initiative by the Chief Minister’s Additional Political Secretary (Gangtok) to honour the invaluable contributions of grassroots workers serving in various Block Administrative Centres. He dedicates the initiative to the exemplary commitment and measures taken by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay for the upliftment and empowerment of the workers and employees in Sikkim.
The Samman, carrying a cash award of Rs. 20,000, was presented to Dil Kumar Dahal, during a function held at Rakdong BAC in the presence of panchayat members and BAC staff, reflecting the collective appreciation of the local administrative community.
Also present at the award ceremony was Rakdong BDO Puskhar Katiwada, and Additional Political Secretary (Gangtok) Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha.
Instituted with the vision of acknowledging the silent yet significant contributions of Group D staff, the Shram Seva Samman seeks to uplift and motivate those who work tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative systems at the grassroots level.
“This award is dedicated to Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, whose leadership and emphasis on inclusive governance and respect for every worker have been instrumental in shaping such people-centric initiatives. On this significant day, we reaffirm our collective belief that every form of labour deserves dignity, respect, and recognition,” said Lepcha.
