GANGTOK,: A high-level Indian parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker
Om Birla will visit Bhutan from May 13 with the main objective of further
strengthening India-Bhutan relations.
The
51-member delegation includes Rajya Sabha MP from Sikkim D.T. Lepcha, Lok Sabha
MP from Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb and officials from the Ministry of External
Affairs.
During
the visit, the delegation is expected to hold discussions on various aspects of
Bhutan-India relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two
neighbouring countries.
The
delegates will also meet the King of Bhutan and the Prime Minister of Bhutan
during the visit. Apart from official meetings, the delegation is scheduled to
visit several important places across Bhutan, a press release informs.
