Trilok Subba wins first Asian silver

GANGTOK,: Trilok Subba was part of the India team that won the historic silver medal at 9th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2026 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia held on May 19-20.

The silver medal was won in the Under-60 Recognized Male Team event.

Subba stated, “I am very happy for my first ever Asian silver medal victory and I want to dedicate this historic silver medal to Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang for his kind sponsorship.

Subba also thanked his co-sponsors: minister Bhim Hang Subba, SOA officials Jaslal Pradhan and Zangpo Bhutia and Sports department officials including director Ram Bahadur Biswakarma.
