GANGTOK, : HemrajAdhikari has officially joined the ruling SKM after resigning
from his post as the founder member and general secretary (publicity) of
Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim.
Chief
Minister PS Golay welcomed Adhikari into the SKM family on Sunday. He expressed
that Adhikari’sdecision to align with the SKM is a strong affirmation of the
party’s shared vision for progressive, inclusive, and people-centric
governance.
“With
his rich experience and deep-rooted understanding of grassroots realities,
Adhikari’s presence will undoubtedly add depth to our collective mission and
infuse fresh momentum into our ongoing efforts toward building a better and
stronger Sikkim. His joining further reinforces our commitment to work
tirelessly for the welfare of the people and the holistic development of our
beloved State,” said the Chief Minister on social media.
The
Chief Minister also congratulated Adhikari, a distinguished figure in Nepali
literature, on being conferred with the prestigious ‘HemlataSmritiLaghu Katha
Samman–2082’ in Chitawan, Nepal, very shortly.
“This
well-deserved honour is a recognition of his remarkable literary contributions
and his unwavering dedication to the cultural and intellectual heritage of our
region. This award serves as an inspiration for him and the younger
generations, as well,” said the Chief Minister.
