Vice President to attend State Day celebrations

GANGTOK, (IPR): A coordination meeting to review preparations for the forthcoming State Day celebrations 2026 was held Wednesday at Tashiling Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by the chief secretary, Government of Sikkim, R. Telang. The celebrations are scheduled to be graced by the Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, as the chief guest.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary reviewed the programme schedule and assessed the responsibilities assigned to various line departments. Emphasis was laid on ensuring comprehensive logistical arrangements and strict adherence to security protocols for the smooth conduct of the event.
Senior officers from the concerned departments assured full support and coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the visit and the seamless execution of the State Day celebrations.
Also present at the meeting were heads of departments from various line departments and senior officers.
