Darap to Darjeeling-Siliguri Run to promote healthy lifestyle

GANGTOK,: Marathon runner Amar Subba and his student, Pritam Rai, both from West Sikkim, will undertake a long-distance run from Darap to Darjeeling and Siliguri on July 17. The duo will flag off their run at 4:00 am, a press release informs.

Amar Subba said the ultra run is being organised to spread awareness about health and fitness and to promote a healthy lifestyle. He added that the run is also a gesture of gratitude to Chief Minister P.S. Golay for his consistent patronage and encouragement of sports in all its forms, and to Minister and area MLA Bhim Hang Subba for his sincere support to runners, which has significantly contributed to the growth of long-distance running in the region.
